In this powerful message, "Enjoying Divine Favour," we were reminded that living a life under God’s open-door policy is our divine heritage. We explored how this favor is an unmerited, surprise package from God, designed to pull us out of every pit of shame, struggle, and disappointment. But what is stopping us from fully enjoying this pre-ordained blessing? We were challenged to examine ourselves for spiritual blockages like unforgiveness and hidden influences.

Key Notes:
Divine favour is God's Will
It is God's will for us to enjoy divine favour on Earth, and this favour is an everlasting settlement [51:20]. Examples like Joseph, Esther, and David are given to illustrate this point [52:04].
Definition of Divine Favour
Divine favour is described as an unmerited opportunity or an open door from God himself, who ensures we enter into it. It's like a "digger or shovel" God uses to bring us out of horrible pits of shame, disgrace, and disappointment, and to set our feet on a rock of honour [53:45]. It's a "surprise package" that makes us feel like we're dreaming [58:19].
Divine Intervention
The sermon uses the story of Peter's miraculous release from prison in Acts 12 to demonstrate divine intervention [59:18]. Despite chains, guards, and multiple gates, God's intervention caused chains to fall, doors to open on their own, and Peter to be set free. This shows that divine favour is not by our works or strategies but by God's grace [01:05:54].
Why We Need Divine Favour
A life without divine presence remains ordinary and in perpetual struggle, easily tossed around by trials and temptations [01:09:48]. Divine favour is crucial for us to fulfil our God-given mandate to be a blessing to our generation and the world [01:10:34].
Claiming Our Divine Favour (Ephesians 1:3-6)
The sermon stresses that divine favour is already ours through Christ Jesus, chosen before the foundation of the world [01:23:49]. We are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ [01:23:55].
Hindrances to Divine Favour:
Unforgiveness: An unforgiving spirit and root of bitterness can block prayers and divine favour [01:29:49]. We are urged to forgive others, not just for their sake, but for our own, to allow God's blessings to flow [01:31:02].
Idolatry and Ungodly Influences: The presence of artifacts, posters, books, music, or media dedicated to other gods or promoting rebellion and magic can hinder divine favour and angelic ministration [01:32:26]. We need to clean our homes and minds of anything not glorifying God [01:35:18]
Call to Action
The sermon concludes by inviting those who haven't accepted Jesus to do so, believing in their heart and confessing with their mouth (Romans 10:9-10) [01:46:12]. It reminds believers that they are seated "far above" all troubling situations in Christ [01:47:11] and encourages them to actively participate in spreading the gospel [01:15:16].
